Welcome to the start of the 2023-2024 school year at Johnstown Middle School! If you are enrolled as a first-time Johnnie, we are excited and proud to welcome you to the JMS family. To all our returning Johnnies, we are so happy to have you back!
The JMS website and PowerSchool start page will be updated regularly to ensure you are current with all important information. By visiting our website, you will have access to our bell schedule, traffic pattern, program of studies, supply lists, dress code, and much more. We will communicate through calls, newsletters, emails, and texts, so please make sure your child’s contact information has been reviewed and submitted and that we have updated academic, health, and guardianship records.
The JMS staff believes the middle grades are the best grades! Our teachers spend hours planning and creating lessons that will engage our students in learning. This includes the use of high quality instructional materials and the careful analysis of student academic data. This time in our students’ educational journeys is paramount in their development as learners and as people. Now is when we establish the foundation for students to begin thinking about post-secondary choices. The JMS staff is committed to building the fundamentals necessary to helping our students be ready for what comes after high school, whether that be enrollment, employment, or enlistment.
We feel grateful for the opportunity to partner with families and are dedicated to serving our community. Your child’s safety and well-being is our top priority. We invite you to reach out any time you have questions to ask, concerns to express, or celebrations to share.
